The Great Exchange

Have you ever made a good trade? You traded something you had for something that someone else had, and you felt you got a good deal. Maybe the other person did too. It could have been baseball cards, marbles, a sandwich, a tennis racquet, shoes, clothes, a bicycle, a set of tools, maybe even a car – or any number of things. But whatever it was, you walked away feeling good about the swap. You felt you came out ahead. You got the better end of the deal. It was a real bargain. That was a good trade!

This Sunday, we are going to consider one of the best trades ever. It’s a trade in which you come out ahead. It’s a trade that can forever change your life. It’s a trade that we don’t deserve. Yet, this trade was given for you by God out of grace. And this trade has eternal consequences! Considering the story of “Jesus Before Pilate” in Mark 15:1-15, we’ll discover three important scenes to this drama, including the best exchange that could ever be made between God and man. I call it “The Great Exchange.” What was it?

Join your family and friends at Grace Church this coming Sunday, March 3, to find out! We’ll meet for a single combined worship service beginning at 10:00 AM. It’ll be a blended service including both traditional hymns and contemporary songs. You’ll hear organ, piano, and our praise band all in one service. A Nursery will be provided for small children. And, Busy Bags will be available for kids who remain in the sanctuary. It’ll be a great morning of lively worship, renewing friendships, and unity in the Spirit.

Following worship, all are invited to join together for a good old-fashioned Church-Wide Potluck. Please bring a dish of food to share if you can. Table service, coffee, and cold beverages will be provided. Everyone is invited. Visitors are expected. No one goes away hungry. So, please reach out, forward this email, spread the news, and invite a friend or family member to join us. This Sunday will be a great time of celebration for Grace Church and for all! Your presence is requested. Won’t you please join us?
