A Way Forward

Have you ever been faced with a situation and didn’t know which way to go?  Maybe it was choosing a job, a school, a place to live, or a spouse.  Perhaps it was overcoming the loss of a loved one and you wondered how you could possibly move forward without him or her.  Truth is, we all face critical times and points of decision in our lives.  The path before us is unclear, risky, lonely, or maybe even dangerous.  And, we are unsure of the way forward.

The Church of Jesus Christ in America is facing uncertainty too.  Worship attendance is trending down, youth are leaving the church in droves, and the effects of our secular culture have had negative impacts on peoples’ faith and spirituality.  On top of this, add a pandemic which has kept many people away from church.  Perhaps never before in modern times has the state of the church seemed so dire.  Fact is, many churches are uncertain of the way forward.

Grace Church is not immune to these trials and trends.  So, how will we find our way forward?  How will we overcome the barriers before us as a church in today’s changing and challenging culture?  Thankfully, God always provides a way forward!  Join me Sunday as we explore seven key priorities for Grace Church moving forward.  These are practical tasks that everyone can do to keep our church moving forward positively in uncertain and challenging times.

Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM.  Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM.  Both services feature lively worship, an inspiring message, warm friends, and the presence of the Holy Spirit moving in our midst.  If you can’t make it in person, please watch the video posted to Facebook and You Tube later in the day.  Don’t forget to “Spring Ahead” one hour Saturday night.  And, please plan to join us with your family and friends to receive a blessing!

Together in Christ,

Pastor Dave Van Netten
