Celebrating & Remembering
Do you sometimes have trouble remembering things? Occasionally I go into a room in my house to get something and by the time I get there, I have forgotten what I went in there to get! Other times, I seem to have misplaced my car keys, the television remote control, or even my wallet. Yikes! I must be getting old. It’s no wonder we find so many memorials and monuments in the Bible. God knows that our memories could use a little help. And He certainly doesn’t want us to forget His faithfulness to us!
This Sunday we remember God’s faithfulness to us as we celebrate His working in the lives of three of our young people who are graduating from high school this year. We will also consider Memorial Day with a message that will encourage us to remember four amazing things. My message, “Remembering,” will speak to graduates and to everyone. If you ever have trouble remembering, this is a message just for you. Let us be reminded together of God’s goodness to us – and all this on this Pentecost Sunday!
We’ll meet for one musically blended and combined service beginning at 10:00 AM as we begin our summer schedule. The service will feature biblical teaching, hymn singing, contemporary songs, warm friends, and the renewing presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst. A nursery space and Busy Bags are available for children. And, we’ll honor our graduates with a special cake and beverages in our Fellowship Hall following the service. Please plan to join us with your loved ones. Let’s pack the house to the glory of God!
