Don’t Stop Believing!
In 1981, the rock band Journey released a hit song called, “Don’t Stop Believin’” sung by their lead singer Steve Perry. It’s not a religious song. You aren’t going to find too many praise bands singing it on Sunday mornings during a worship service. Yet, I can appreciate the refrain of the song which is sung over and over again toward the end, “Don’t stop believin’”. It’s a good message and one with an application and encouragement to followers of Jesus Christ in today’s troubled world as well.
How often aren’t we tempted to give up on God? How often don’t we feel like giving up on our faith, or on life itself? How often don’t we question our beliefs, or the goodness of God? No matter how strong a Christian you are, doubt, despair, & feelings of defeat are never very far away. Perhaps you too have had seasons in your life when you doubted God or wanted to give up on your faith. Maybe you are going through a season of doubt, despair, or defeat right now. If so, this Sunday’s message is just for you!
Join us this Sunday and be inspired in your faith by a blind beggar named Bartimaeus. “Blind Bart” kept believing even when it would have been easy for him to give up and give in. The result of his faith was amazing – nothing less than a miracle! Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM and contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM. A nursery space and Busy Bags are available for children. Refreshments will be served between the services. Don’t forget to “spring ahead” one hour Saturday night. See you Sunday!
