Happy New Year!
Are you ready to begin a new year? 2021 was not all it was “cracked-up” to be, was it? We continued to battle COVID, saw increasing polarization in our politics, and experienced more and more divisions and societal tensions. How about you personally? Was 2021 a good year or bad year? I know of several within our congregation who dealt with sickness, loss, or significant changes they did not expect or welcome. So, let me guess: We’re all ready to move into a new year and get a fresh start!
Thankfully, God gives us a golden opportunity at the beginning of each new year to begin afresh. I don’t know if you’re one to make new year’s resolutions or not, but leaving behind bad habits in exchange for new and healthier behaviors is always a good idea. Unlike ordinary resolutions which rely on our willpower, believers in Jesus have access to a power beyond ourselves. Sunday’s message, “Starting Anew in ’22,” will help you lean on and invite God’s power into areas of your life in which you long for renewal.
Who knows what good things God has in store for you and Grace Church in 2022? Please join us Sunday, January 9 as we resume our regular two-service schedule with our 9:00 AM Traditional Worship Service followed by our 10:45 AM Contemporary Worship Service. Goodies and beverages will be served in the Fellowship Hall for all between services. All men are invited to join together for prayer at 10:15 AM. Feel free to wear a mask if you like. Come, be refreshed, revived, and uplifted as together we start ’22 anew!
