When Kingdoms Collide

We have seen the forces of nature collide when cold fronts meet warm fronts.  We have seen wars between nations down through history.  We have seen our favorite football team battle other great teams on the gridiron.  We have seen wrestlers meet on a mat in a contest of individual wills.  We have seen clashes between parents and children.  We have seen political rivals face-off in debates and elections.  We will soon see 89 nations compete against each other in the Winter Olympics this February.

But what happens when the Kingdom of God comes to earth in the person of Jesus Christ?  What happens when the forces of God and good meet the forces of the Enemy and evil?  What happens when the Kingdom of God breaks into this troubled world, upsetting status quo religion, values, and the norms of society?  What happens when the Kingdom of God meets the hurting, the helpless, the poor, the grieving, the sinner, the lonely?  This is a contest you will not want to miss!  This is a contest for the ages!

“When Kingdoms Collide” is a brand new and provocative sermon series I will be starting this Sunday, January 16, giving you a front row seat at the collision between the kingdom of this world and the Kingdom of God.  Journey with me systematically through the Gospel of Mark as we discover how the Kingdom of God is breaking into this world through Jesus Christ.  See how the rule of Jesus changes everything and experience the presence and power of God’s Kingdom reign in your life personally!

Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM.  Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM.  Both services feature the same biblical message, heartfelt worship, warm friends, and the revitalizing presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  Refreshments for all are served between services; a nursery is available for young children.  Feel free to wear a mask, if you wish.  A video of the contemporary service will be posted on our website later in the day.  Please join us for another Spirit-filled Sunday.  Bring your family and friends!
