Heart Health

Have you had your heart checked lately?  Do you know your cholesterol levels?  How about your blood pressure?  Any blockages in your heart?  Every time I see my doctor he listens to my heart and takes my blood pressure.  Once a year I have a complete physical examination with bloodwork and cholesterol tests.  Thankfully, my physical heart is in good shape.  I trust yours is too.  But Jesus also calls us to examine our hearts before God.  What is the condition of your spiritual heart?  Is your heart healthy?  Any blockages?

This Sunday, through the story of the Rich Young Man from Mark 10:17-31, Jesus will take a look into your heart.  As human beings, we can only see the outward appearance of others and what they do.  However, Jesus has “x-ray” vision and can see right through you!  Jesus sees your heart before God - what’s in your heart, if there are any blockages that hinder your worship of God, and if there’s anything in your heart that occupies a larger space than love for Jesus.  This message will challenge, convict, and comfort.

Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM with the singing of some favorite hymns from our Christian heritage.  Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM and includes songs led by our “Spirit of Grace” praise band.  Both services will feature the same biblical teaching, heart-felt worship, warm friends, and the healing presence of the Holy Spirit moving in our midst.  A nursery and Busy Bags are available for children.  Refreshments may be served between services in our Fellowship Hall.  All are welcome; newcomers expected!

I urge you to be present for another Spirit-filled Sunday at Grace Church.  Truly, God is on the move at Grace Church in mighty ways, healing hearts and refreshing lives!  What a shame it would be if this was the Sunday God had a special message just for you, but you failed to attend and missed it.  God is inviting you to meet him at his house this Sunday.  Will you accept God’s invitation?  Why not make meeting God a priority this Sunday and every Sunday?  Join us with your loved ones to be revived and refreshed!
