Jesus Loves the Little Children
There’s a saying: “Children should be seen and not heard.” It’s a derogatory statement indicating that while children may be cute, they can also be annoying at times. I suppose we’ve all had times when children have irritated and annoyed us. But there’s also a lot we can learn from children. Children are carefree, teachable, and trusting. Jesus said, “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3). Jesus esteemed children as an example to us all!
How’s your attitude toward children and youth? Do you think they should be seen and not heard? It’s easy to love our own children and grandchildren. It’s easy to love children who are obedient and show respect. But what about the difficult child? What about the one who acts up, or says mean things to others? What about the special needs child? This Sunday’s message will challenge, convict, and comfort us as we consider four amazing actions of Jesus toward children. May you be refreshed & inspired!
Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM and includes hymn singing with organ accompaniment. Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM with music and singing led by our “Spirit of Grace” praise band. Both services feature the same biblically sound message, heartfelt worship, warm friends, and the healing presence of the Holy Spirit moving in our midst. A nursery and Busy Bags are available for children. Refreshments will be served in our Fellowship Hall between services. Friends welcome. Newcomers expected!
