Out of the Tomb
Have you ever felt dead on the inside? Do you ever feel you are merely ‘going through the motions’ of life? Truth is, this world has a way of beating us down and sapping our energy. Everyone I know craves more energy, more abundance, more life. Maybe you too, feel the need for revival. You long for renewal. You want life. The Good News is: Jesus came out of the tomb on Easter morning and so can we! Your revival, renewal, and revitalization are possible because of Easter!
The Easter celebration begins this Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM with the presentation of our “Easter Song” drama. This powerful and moving drama depicts scenes of Jesus’ life, including his crucifixion and resurrection. Through acting, dance, song, and music, the story of new life in Jesus Christ will be told. Communion will be shared as part of the Last Supper scene. A nursery is also provided. There is no cost. Admission is free. And so is the Good News of Jesus!
Easter Sunday begins with a special Easter Breakfast from 8:45 to 9:45 AM in our Fellowship Hall. Fresh fruit, muffins, rolls, pumpkin bars along with milk, juice, and coffee will be served. Donations will be received. Bring the entire family! At 9:15 AM, our annual Easter Egg Hunt for children 10 years of age and younger begins. Children and parents are to meet in the foyer and will be organized into two groups based on age. Finders of the Super Eggs receive additional prizes!
Our Easter Celebration Service begins at 10:00 AM with the joyous worship of our risen Lord. The service includes favorite Easter hymns accompanied by organ and also contemporary songs led by our praise band. A nursery will be provided along with Children’s Church for children 3 years-old up to those in 2nd grade. My message, “Resurrection Revival!” will lift your soul and inspire your heart, revealing four ways the resurrection positively impacts your life personally.
This weekend, churches all around the world, including Grace Church, celebrate the greatest event in all human history! Jesus rose from the dead. The cross is bare. The tomb is empty. New life in Jesus Christ is possible for all who believe. Do you believe? Will you be present? Are you in need of your own personal revival and renewal? It’s time to get “out of the tomb” and start living for real! Share this post, pass out a flyer, invite a friend, and please plan to join us!
