Pentecost Power!

Have you ever felt tired and weak? Do you wish you had more energy? Does your body lack the stamina you need? Truth is, life in this world has a way of beating us down. Our bodies grow weak. Our energy runs out. Out stamina wanes. We tire as we age. Even Jesus said, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). I used to stay up to watch the news on television most nights. Now, I have all I can do to stay awake past 10:00 PM. Sometimes I’m asleep by 9:30 PM!

So where do we go to find more strength and power in our lives? Some people drink Mountain Dew, Coke, or Red Bull. Others down the energy drinks found at the gas station counter. Some indulge on a little chocolate to get a boost. Others might seek an adrenalin rush through sky diving, bungy jumping, roller coasters at the amusement park, or by driving fast. An occasional “dose” of Dr. Pepper does it for me. But these things only have short-term effects. God says: There’s a better way!

This Sunday, we celebrate the greatest “Energy Source” that was ever given: The Holy Spirit of God poured out into the lives of believers! It’s Pentecost Sunday – a day to remember and receive the often forgotten third member of the Trinity. Find all the power and energy you need in the Holy Spirit. Be revived, renewed, and refreshed in God’s answer to your “energy shortage.” Discover four things the pouring out of the Holy Spirit means for you. Learn three ways to get more of the Spirit in your life!

Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM. Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM. Both services feature my message, “All Heaven Breaks Loose!”, along with lively worship, warm friends, and the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit in our midst. A nursery is provided and “Busy Bags” are available for children. Refreshments will be served between the services. Everyone is welcomed. Newcomers are expected. Please forward this email and/or reach out to invite your friends and family!

Together in Christ,
