Quest for Healing

Since I have been in my twenties, I have struggled with lower back pain.  I’ve seen doctors, chiropractors, therapists, tried exercising and stretching, gotten massages, taken various drugs and supplements, prayed fervently, fasted, and even had surgery some twenty years ago.  Yet, all my attempts to find relief have come-up short.  They all may have helped some, but none of them have been a cure.  I still struggle with back pain today.  I still long for complete healing and total relief from the daily pain and discomfort.

Perhaps you too are on a “quest for healing” of one kind or another.  You struggle with chronic pain or an ongoing physical condition.  Someone or something broke your heart and you carry emotional scars.  You lost a loved one and the grief is yet overwhelming.  Your mind tends to wander toward negative or self-defeating thoughts.  Truth is, we are all broken people in search of healing and wholeness.  The Good News is:  There is a God who cares, heals, restores, and redeems all our pain – all your brokenness!

Join your Grace Church family and friends this Sunday, June 27, as the evangelist Mark introduces us to two persons who were also in desperate search of healing – a father whose daughter was dying, and a woman who had been hemorrhaging for 12 years and spent all her money on doctors to no avail.  Together we’ll uncover three “Good News” things that Jesus reveals to us about God, and three things Jesus reveals to us about ourselves.  All of them are relevant to our healing.  If you need encouragement, this message is for you!

The worship, healing, and encouragement begins at 9:00 AM with our traditional worship service; and then again at 10:45 AM at our contemporary service.  Both services feature the same inspirational message, lively worship, warm friends, and the power of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  We also have the privilege of receiving two new members this Sunday at each service.  And, I’ll also have a special announcement to make during the message.  It’s going to be a powerful Sunday.  Please join us and bring your friends!
