Standing Tall in Stressful Times

We live in crazy and chaotic times.  Never before has the tension, division, and anxiety in our world, nation, and lives been so prevalent.  We all feel the stress of this uncertainty.  How do we remain strong in these trying times of trouble and tribulation?  How can we stand tall for Jesus in a world that is sinking and lost its way?  How can we not only survive, but thrive?  Allow me to suggest that we stand tall and rise higher by going deeper – going deeper and growing in Jesus Christ.  In Christ, we will stand!

Join me and the Grace Church family this Sunday, September 12 for Discipleship Sunday as I begin an exciting new sermon series on growing deeper in Jesus called, Standing Tall in Stressful Times.  The lead-off message this Sunday is entitled, “Passion for Growth,” and will explore three barriers to our passion for Jesus as well as three reasons to heighten our passion for spiritual growth.  How is your passion for growing in Jesus?  What stands in the way?  What excites you about following Jesus?  Let’s grow together!

Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM and contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM.  We will commission teachers, leaders, and helpers for all our children’s, youth, and adult ministries at both services.  Each service features an inspiring message, lively worship, warm friends, and the healing presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  Please join us in person as we kick-off a brand new year of discipleship at Grace Church.  It’s time to rally together as we begin a new Fall season and anticipate God’s work among us!
