God at Work!

I’ve traveled back and forth to and from Michigan many times over the years to visit family and friends.  No matter when I make the trip, there’s almost always road construction somewhere along that 440 mile stretch.  There’s always “Men at Work” signs and pylons and barrels telling me to move over or switch lanes.  It’s inconvenient to say the least.  But I also realize that without that construction, highways and bridges would eventually become broken and impassable.  Road construction is a good thing!

How about God’s “construction” and working in us?  It may not always feel good, but it is absolutely necessary and important in forming us into the image of Jesus Christ.  In fact, it can be downright painful at times.  Yet, it is ultimately a good thing.  Join me Sunday, September 5, on this Labor Day weekend, as we consider how God uses our unique jobs and work to do His work and construction in our lives.   Whether you are employed, retired, working part-time, full-time, or doing housework, you will be blessed by this message!

I invite you to wear your work clothes or uniform to work this Sunday as we gather for traditional worship beginning at 9:00 AM and contemporary worship beginning at 10:45 AM.  Both services feature the same inspiring message, heart-felt worship, warm friends, and healing presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  The elders and I would also like to encourage all attendees to once again wear a mask when in close proximity to others.  Join us for what promises to be a Spirit-filled Sunday at Grace Church!
