Sunday in the Park 2.0
What a great day it’s going to be this Sunday as we gather at Galloway Park for worship in the most beautiful sanctuary ever made – the out-of-doors! Whereas some people may be reluctant to enter into the doors of a ‘strange’ church building, even non-church goers are usually comfortable gathering informally at a public park. So let’s reach out and “pack the park” as we hold our second “Sunday in the Park” outreach worship service and picnic for the community this Sunday, August 14, beginning at 10:00 AM!
The message, “When Jesus Visits,” will be inspirational and evangelistic. The worship will be lively and heart-felt, led by our “Spirit of Grace” praise band. The food will be plentiful and delicious. The people will be friendly and hospitable. Games with prizes for children will follow the meal. And Anna Love will also be there from “Loony Balloonies” to do balloon art and face-painting free-of-charge for all the children. Dress is informal and handicapped parking will be designated along Stratford Street.
Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, a dish of food to share, and a friend or family member as your guest. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served hot off the grill. Water and lemonade along with table service will be provided. Volunteers will serve the food wearing gloves to ensure everyone’s health and safety. It’s going to be great day, and a super opportunity to point people to the person, peace, & saving power of Jesus. Forward this email and use the attached flyer to invite a friend. See you Sunday!
