Your Favorite Teacher

School is back in session.  Students have returned to the classroom.  Teachers are busy preparing lessons.  And parents are either missing their children dearly, or quite happy to get some relief after having the kids home all summer!  Thinking back to your school days, who was your favorite teacher?  Probably a few teachers stand out in our minds and are remembered fondly for the way they taught and related to us as kids.  Mr. Younker, Mr. Hoover, Mrs. Smith, and Miss Mauw were a few of my favorites.

What makes a good teacher?  Why is it that some stand out and others do not?  Is it their love for their kids?  A passion for the subject matter?  A respect in relating to others?  Were they funny?  Were they smart?  Did you have a crush on one of your teachers?  This Sunday we will take a look at the Master Teacher, Jesus himself.  What can we learn from the best teacher that ever lived?  How could Jesus’ teaching methods inspire us and encourage all of us to be better teachers.  Truth is:  You are a teacher too!

Join us for some inspiration, information, and encouragement this Sunday.  Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM.  Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM.  Both services feature the same biblical message, heart-felt worship, warm friends, and the healing presence of the Spirit in our midst.  A Nursery and Busy Bags are available for children.  Refreshments will be served between the services for all.  It’s going to be a Spirit-filled Sunday at Grace Church.  Would you come and let God revive YOU this Sunday?
