Amen!

People say the word “amen” all the time.  We say it at when we hear something we agree with.  We say it at the end of our prayers.  We say it a the end of some of our creeds of faith.  We say it when we like a particular sermon point.  We even sing it at the end of some of our favorite hymns.  But what does it mean exactly?  Or for that matter, when is the last time you heard an entire sermon based on that one little word?  Probably never.  Well, that is about to change!

Join us this Sunday, April 25, as we conclude our sermon series on the Apostles’ Creed by “zooming-in” on this one little word, ‘Amen,’ at the end of the creed!  What does it mean?  And, why do we so often conclude prayers and statements with it?  Together, we’ll peel back the layers of the word like an onion to discover three important meanings that will challenge our lives and faith.  We’ll then seek to apply these meanings to the specific truths we profess in the Apostles’ Creed.

Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM.  Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM.  Both services feature the same inspiring message, uplifting worship, warm friends, and the invigorating presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  If you can’t join us in person, be sure to check out the video or podcast on this website later in the day.  Let us pray that the presence and power of God will move mightily among us this Sunday.  Who could you reach out to and invite to join us?  Come, be refreshed!

 Together in Christ,

Pastor Dave Van Netten
