Anticipating Easter!

Today is Good Friday.  Not much seems good about it.  Jesus has been crucified and is suffering on a cross, hung out to die.  His closest followers are hiding for fear they may be next.  Peoples dreams and hopes of a Messiah from God to come and save them are shattered.  Jesus’ mother and family are numb with tears.  This is not a good day by most accounts.  Yet, God has a plan.  There are things happening behind the scenes in the spiritual realm which no one sees just yet.  Jesus is preparing to rise from the dead!

Many of us live our lives in a perpetual Good Friday, like a repeating Groundhog Day which never ends.  Our lives in this broken world are filled with pain, heartache, grief, shattered dreams, and unfulfilled desires.  We know the darkness of Good Friday all too well.  But God says, a new day is dawning.  There’s another plan.  There’s another way forward for you.  You don’t have to live like that anymore.  A resurrection is about to happen.  Jesus is rising to give you a new life.  The resurrection is a miracle for all!

Join us Easter Sunday to participate in this miracle of life for yourself!  We gather at 9:00 AM (traditional worship) and 10:45 AM (contemporary worship) for services as we celebrate the greatest event and miracle ever to take place in all human history.  It’s a Sunday you’ll not want to miss!  My message, “A Resurrection for All!” will highlight three ways you can experience the miracle of Easter personally.  Please reach out and bring your family and friends.  God has a big blessing waiting for you this Sunday!

Not only will you experience great worship and an inspiring message, but a special Easter Brunch will be served for all from 9:30-10:30 AM in our Fellowship Hall.  And an Easter Egg Hunt for children 10 years and under will begin at 10:00 AM.  Please click on our Events Page at www.gracereformedchurch.com/events to learn more about the details.  We look forward to a great Easter celebration this Sunday.  And we look forward to having you and your loved ones present with us.  Come, be infused with new life!
