Easter Exultation

What a great day God gave Grace Church yesterday as we worshipped our risen Lord, Jesus Christ!  I don’t believe things could have gone any better.  The weather was perfect with the sun shining brightly all day.  Best of all, the Son of God was shining in our worship and morning activities.  If we missed you, Happy Easter to you and your loved ones!

We set an attendance-high for the year so far with young and old gathering for worship on Easter morning with a combined total between both services of 161 people!  I prayed God would send us 150 but God ‘overperformed!’ :)  This number includes at least 70 visitors that I can recall, including many children and youth.  What a joy to have around 65 persons join in the Brunch between services.  And, 19 children participated in the Easter Egg Hunt with Paityn and Alexander taking home prizes for the Super Eggs.

We thank all who joined us for morning worship and other activities.  A special thanks to all who purchased Easter lilies in memory of others; the lilies truly helped beautify the sanctuary and stage.  A special thanks to all who participated in and led worship, including our musicians, praise band, and tech team.  We thank Carolina Freudenberg and helpers for a delicious brunch.  We thank Kelly Price and helpers for coordinating the Easter Egg Hunt again this year.  And, we thank YOU for being of a part of our celebration!

Most importantly, we thank God for making Easter possible.  Who would have thought that a humble man named Jesus could change the course of history?  Who would have thought that God would show up to save His people from our sins in the way He did?  Truly, we are blessed to be counted as God’s precious children.  Please share the joy of Easter with someone this week.  And, plan to join us next Sunday as we begin our “Supernatural Living” sermon series.  May the joy of the risen Christ be yours today & always!
