For Those Who Are Weary

How’s your mood lately?  Are you feeling down or dejected?  Have you been experiencing discouragement or depression?  If so, you are not alone.  The current climate of craziness, chaos, confusion, COVID, and conflict in our culture, society, nation, and world has left everyone feeling stressed.  Truth is, we are all feeling weary and worn-out.  Even Christian pastors are quitting their jobs, leaving ministry; and churches are closing.  The darkness over our lives and land is oppressive and of pandemic proportions.

So what do we do?  Where can we find hope?  Allow me to suggest we do what people have done for millennia:  Let us look to the God of heaven and earth and call to Him for help.  Jesus extended an invitation in Matthew 11:28-29: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest … for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”  Allow me to take this one step further and invite you who are weary to come meet Jesus this Sunday in the sanctuary of Grace Church!

When Kingdoms Collide is our sermon series.  “A Seedy Business” is this week’s message title.  Find out what it’s all about in an inspiring message that will encourage you and sow seeds of hope in your heart.  Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM.  Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM.  Both services feature the same biblical message, uplifting worship, warm friends, and the healing power and presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  A nursery is provided.  Refreshments are available between services.

My heart goes out to all who hurt, mourn, and may be feeling lost and alone in this strange new world.  I’m right there with you.  Yet, we are not without hope.  God is still on the throne, and our lives and world belong to Him.  So please join us this Sunday and do something good for yourself.  Place yourself at the feet of Jesus, the Healer and Savior of your soul.  And, may all who are weary find rest, renewal, and revitalization this Sunday morning in the arms of Jesus at Grace Church.  Be sure to tell your friends!
