Good Things

Psalm 34 is one of my favorite Psalms. It speaks of extoling the Lord’s name at all times – even in difficult times. It speaks of seeking the Lord and finding Him. It reminds us that angels are surrounding us. It reminds us that the Lord is good. And it speaks of God’s faithful provision. “Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” I love that promise. I love this Psalm. I love the fact that “good things” are in store for those who seek the Lord – even in difficult circumstances.

Maybe you need a reminder today that the Lord is good. Maybe you need a reminder that God is faithful. Maybe you need a reminder that the Lord provides. If so, then please join your friends at Grace Church this Sunday. It’s going to be a special Sunday. Rather than a typical sermon by me, YOU will be the sermon! That’s right! Anyone who wants to will be able to share a brief testimony, word of encouragement, a praise, or thanksgiving as we encourage one another.

This special “Stories from the Seats” sharing Sunday will begin at 10:00 AM. Worship will feature hymns and songs led by guitars. And God’s name will be lifted up as praises and thanksgivings are shared by congregants. A Nursery and Children’s Church is provided for little ones. Refreshments will be served following worship. Please join us this Sunday. Maybe you have a praise that can inspire others. Or you may be inspired by hearing someone else’s story! “Good things.”

This Sunday also marks the conclusion of our Operation Christmas Child shoebox campaign. Please return your filled box(es) to the foyer to help us meet our goal of 80 boxes to bless needy children around the world this Christmas and point them to Jesus. Thank you!
