Making Disciples
Grace Church has many programs. We offer children’s ministries such as a Nursery, Children’s Church, and Fish Net. We offer youth ministries such as The ROCK Youth Group. We have a bi-monthly Bible study for women, weekly prayer meetings for men, and a monthly men’s breakfast with teaching. We will soon resume our adult small groups. We have quarterly luncheons for seniors. We have a prayer shawl ministry. We offer a weekly worship service. And we do many other events!
But why? What is the point of all these things? Are they simply a way to keep ourselves busy? Do we do them simply because we have done them in the past. Or, is there a higher purpose to it all? Honestly, it’s sometimes difficult to distinguish the forest from the trees. But thankfully, there is a higher purpose! There is a higher goal. There is a larger vision. Simply put, all we do is in an effort to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This is the overarching goal that ties everything we do together!
This Sunday is Discipleship Sunday at Grace Church. As we launch our Fall programs, it’s time to rally together, commission teachers, and rededicate ourselves to being and making disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. We’ll culminate and conclude our Going for Gold! sermon series with the message “Inspiring Others.” How can you inspire others to follow Jesus Christ? Together we’ll discover three practical ways we can all inspire others to run their race of faith toward Jesus the prize.
Let’s meet at 10:00 AM Sunday morning. Worship will be a beautiful blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs. The message will be uplifting and encouraging. Warm friends will greet you. The Holy Spirit’s presence will heal you. Visitors and newcomers will be welcome. Refreshments will be served. And God will be glorified! Please share this blog to invite someone to join us. It’s going to be another Spirit-filled Sunday at Grace Church. We’d love to have you be a part of it!
