Sunday in the Park

What a great weekend this is going to be for Grace Church!  As humidity drops and temperatures moderate, invitations are extended, food is prepared, music is rehearsed, a biblical message comes together, the grace of God abounds – and we gear-up for another opportunity to reach our friends and community with the love of Jesus Christ!  Who will you reach out to and invite or bring to our second and final “Sunday in the Park” of the summer?  It’s another chance to make an eternal differences in the lives of others!

Join us with your family and friends as we gather at 10:00 AM this Sunday, August 15, at Galloway Park for a neighborhood and community-wide service of worship followed by a picnic and games for children along with plenty of time to socialize and linger as long as you wish.  We’ll continue our series on truth with my message, “The Jesus Path,” focusing on Jesus’ words from John 14:6.  Our “Spirit of Grace” praise band will facilitate our music and worship which will definitely put an uplifting song in your heart.

A picnic with free food will follow worship.  Hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided hot-off the grill.  Table service and beverages will also be provided, including plenty of water.  Side-dishes and desserts will be provided by the members of Grace Church in potluck style and served by volunteers wearing masks and gloves.  Members are asked and reminded to bring a dish to share, if you can.  Games for young children, including face-painting and balloon art will be offered free-of-charge, for all children.

“Sunday in the Park” is an event for the whole family.  Parents with small children as well as older adults and everyone in-between is welcome to attend.  The friendly people of Grace Church look forward to welcoming and meeting all guests and visitors along with you and your loved ones this Sunday.  Bring a chair or blanket to sit on.  We appreciate all the volunteers who will come early to help set up, serve, and take down again following.  I look forward to seeing you Sunday as God’s Spirit renews and revives His people!
