The Best Form of Government

Many forms of government exist in our world today.  The United States is a democracy.  China is communist.  Thailand is ruled by a king.  England is a monarchy.  Which form of government is the best?  Those of us who grew up and live in America would likely chose democracy.  But do we want Republican or Democratic leadership?  There’s no shortage of discussion, debates, and debacles when it comes to earthly governments.  But as Christians answer to a higher authority.

Join us this Sunday, November 21, as we celebrate “Christ the King” Sunday!  What does it mean to belong to Christ’s Kingdom?  How do we live in today’s world as citizens of the United States, and yet obey God?  And what does it mean when we proclaim Jesus is King and Lord of all?  Discover the answer to these questions and more as we consider three “good news” characteristics of Jesus our King as we explore life in “The Jesus Kingdom.”  You will not want to miss this Sunday!

Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM.  Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM.  Both services feature a thoroughly biblical message, uplifting worship, warm friends, and the life-giving presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  Busy Bags and a nursery space are available for children.  Refreshments will be served in our Fellowship Hall between services.  This Sunday is also the last day to return your Operation Christmas Child shoebox.  Please help us meet our goal of 80 boxes!

It’s going to be another Spirit-filled Sunday at Grace Church.  And, we’d love to have you and your loved ones experience the mighty working of God in our midst.  Please plan to join us and bring someone with you.  A video of the service will be posted on YouTube and Facebook later in the day.  But join us in person, if you can.  We would love to welcome you and your friends into the family of Grace Church – where ordinary people still experience God’s extraordinary grace!
