The God Who Restores
Do you know anyone in the restoration business? Some people restore cars, furniture, engines, houses, etc. – and the list goes on. I once had a neighbor who restored houses. He and his wife would buy a home – maybe even “a fixer upper” – pour lots of time, energy, and resources into fixing it up. Then they would put it on the market, sell it, and move on to buy and fix-up another house. They made a great team and had the skills to take what was broken or dilapidated, and make something really good come out of it.
God is like that. God delights in taking broken people and hopeless situations and making something good of it. You may be faced with a situation that is painful. You may be grieving the loss of a loved one. You may be hurting over something that was done to you. You may be faced with an obstacle or difficulty to overcome. You may have made a mess out of a relationship, or even of your life. Yet, the good news is: God is in the restoration business. God is relentlessly working to restore and renew your life for good!
Join us Sunday, October 24 as we consider this theme more deeply through my dramatic message entitled, “All Things,” based on Romans 8:28. Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM and contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM. Both services feature the same biblical message, lively worship, warm friends, and the powerful renewing presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst. Refreshments will be served between services. A video will be posted later on Facebook and YouTube. Come, be renewed, encouraged, and restored!
