The Power of an Invitation

Invitations have the potential to change lives.  As I look back over my life, I can think of simple ways someone reached out to me and it made a profound difference on my future.  A teacher invited me to be a part of a special project at school.  A band director invited me to consider becoming a drummer and joining the school band.  A pastor invited me to become a part of a class on evangelism.  A friend invited me to consider teaching English in Cambodia.  Grace Church invited me to become their next pastor!

Now imagine how your invitation to someone to attend Grace Church, or join us for an upcoming “Sunday in Park” or special event, could literally change their life for all eternity!  This is the topic we’ll consider together this coming Sunday, June 6.  Join me for an inspired message based on John 1 entitled, “Invitation Contagion!”  Rather than spread a contagious virus, Grace Church has opportunity to spread the love, joy, peace, healing, and salvation of Jesus through invitations, outreach, and ministry.

Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM and contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM.  Both services feature the same inspiring message, lively worship, warm friends, and the power and healing presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  It’s going to be a great Sunday and I hope you will decide to join us in person, or watch online later in the day.  You might even consider extending an invitation to a friend, family member, or even a total stranger – to come join us.  It’s a day to come be refreshed in the Spirit!
