Who is Jesus?
It is the question of the ages. How could it be that this rather obscure man born to an ordinary carpenter some 2000 years ago created such a stir and changed the course of human history? He seemed so common, so plain, so unassuming. He was born in a stable in a remote town on the outskirts of Jerusalem, laid in a manger, and most of the world never even knew. Yet, Jesus had more impact on history, health care, education, religion, and world affairs than anyone else!
Who is Jesus? In a world of questions and qualms, confusion and chaos, hurts and hardships, violence and vitriol, we at Grace Church will examine this very question. The evangelist and gospel writer John will be our guide. Over the next eight weeks, beginning with my introductory message this Sunday, we will take a look at the Seven ‘I AM’ Statements of Jesus, and reveal their significance for our lives today. Discover who Jesus is and how he can give you hope and life!
During this time of uncertainty in our nation and world, join us as we get back to basics – the very core of our Christian faith. Worship begins at 10:00 AM this Sunday. The message will inspire you. The worship will lift you. Warm friends will greet you. And, the healing presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst will touch you. A nursery space and Busy Bags are available for children along with a Children’s Church. Refreshments will be served for all following worship.
We also have the joy and privilege of ordaining and installing a new worship elder this Sunday. George Weich has been appointed by consistory to fulfill the remainder of Lynda Kintzle’s term as she steps down to care for her husband. Geoge is eager and ready to serve. Please join us as we share vows of support to one another and our consistory leaders. It’s going to be another Spirit-filled Sunday at Grace Church. Share this email, invite a friend, and plan to join us!
