Life Everlasting
Are you a time-conscious person? Do you find yourself watching the clock throughout the day? Perhaps you are eager for your class to be over, or your work-day to end so you can go home. Maybe you’re waiting for an appointment, lunch-time, or your favorite show to begin. Most of us live with a keen sense of time that is limited by minutes, hours, days, and years. We often try to make the most of our life here on planet earth, because one day it’ll all be over.
Yet, for believers in Jesus, we hold a differing view of time. We confess through the Apostles’ Creed that we believe in “the life everlasting.” But what does this mean? Is it just for believers, or will non-believers also live on eternally? Is this what the Bible refers to as heaven and hell? Is this life everlasting automatic, or must we do something to receive it? And, do I really want my life to go on forever?! Perhaps one life on planet earth is enough!
If you’ve ever wondered about such things – if you’re wondering now about your eternal destiny – than this Sunday’s service and message is just for you! My message, “Your Never-Ending Life,” will address some of these questions and offer three key teachings on the after life which all people must know. Let’s keep the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus going as we gather together this Sunday. It’s also an excellent message for unbelievers and friends to attend.
Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM. Contemporary worship begins at 10:45 AM. Both services feature uplifting worship, and inspiring message, warm friends, and the powerful, life-renewing presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst. If you can’t make it in person, please watch the video or listen to the podcast later online which can be accessed at www.gracereformedchurch.com. May we pray and prepare ourselves today for renewal and revival on Sunday morning!
Together in Christ,
Pastor Dave Van Netten
